 India's squad for Asia cup 2022 announced:-

The All-India Senior Selection Committee has picked India’s squad for the upcoming Asia Cup 2022 to be played from 27th August to 11th September 2022.

Rohit Sharma will be leading the team India in this mega event which is all set to commence in United Arab Emirates(UAE).

This is the 15th edition of the Asia cup. The last edition of the tournament was held in an ODI format, this edition will feature the T20 format. 

A total of 6 teams will participate in the contest, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

The six teams have been divided into two groups, group A and group B.

Teams India, Pakistan, and Hong Kong are in group A and Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Bangladesh is in Group B.

Kuwait, UAE Hong Kong, and Singapore played the qualifier and Hong Kong won the qualifier and booked its seat in the main event.

Defending champion India is the favorite to win:

The defending champion India is the most successful team in the Asia Cup, having lifted the cup seven times. Sri Lanka comes in second place with five times title winner.

Kohli and KL is set to return in the Indian squad while Bumrah and harshal is ruled out because of injury.

India is ready to start his campaign against his arc rival Pakistan on 28 august at Dubai .

Rohit Sharma(C), KL Rahul(VC), Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Risabh Pant(Wk), Deepak Hooda, Dinesh Kartik(Wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Ravi Bishnoi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Avesh Khan.
