India defeated Pakistan in a crunch game in the inaugural match for both teams.
The Man of the match, Hadik Pandya shines with both bat and ball. Hardik scored an unbeaten 33 on 17 balls.
Hardik gives an outstanding bowling performance with a bowling figure of 3/25.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar also took 4 wickets including in-form batsman Babar Azam's wicket.
Virat Kohli also shows some good intent with the bat. Virat scored 35 runs with 3 fours and 1 six.
Indian bowlers restrict Pakistan at 147:
Indian bowlers start with a bang. Pakistan openers gave a slow start to team. Babar azam played some good shot but got knocked down by Bhuvi in 3rd over.
Rizwan continues his good form and ended up scoring 42 runs.
Bhuvneshwar gave his best performance in a Ind-Pak match with a bowling figure of 4/24.
Hardik got the crucial wicket of Md Rizwan as he looks in a good touch.
Avesh got 1 and arshdeep got 2 wickets.
Indian openers struggled in the powerplay:-
Indian openers gave a slow start,KL rahul bowled out by Naseem shah on the second ball.
Virat played some good shot and have a short partnership with Rohit.
Rohit throw his wicket to Nawaj. Sky tries to hit some shot but it was not his day. Jadeja and Hardik got a partnership of 52 runs.
A nail biting final over:
India needed 7 runs in the final over.
Pakistan gave the final over to Nawaj who already took 2 wickets,got jadeja on very first ball of 20th over.
The finisher DK is on the crease, gets a single on the second delivery .
It looked like a 50-50 match for both the sides untill hardik hits a six in long on area.
We haven't seen these type of close encounter between these teams in recent years.
Virat Kohli's 100th match in T20 International:
This match is rememberred not only for this close encounter with pak but also for Virat's 100th appearance in T20 International.
Virat is First Asian and 2nd player to played 100 match in each format of cricket .
The first player achieving this milestone is Ross Taylor.
